Frank A. Damato Scholarship
Created in remembrance of Brother Frank Damato, the mission of the Frank A. Damato Scholarship Fund is to assist the new generation of leaders through scholarship opportunities. To further that end, five scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis.
2022 Recipients will be formally recognized at the July Monthly Membership meeting on July 7, 2022.
Names will be drawn at random during the July monthly membership meeting
What is the importance of a labor union, and how has it benefitted your family?
- At least a high school senior at the time of the application, up to junior in college/university,
- Provisionally accepted as a student at an accredited community college or undergraduate degree at a four-year accredited university,
- Have a parent/ grandparent that is a member of Laborers Local One and is current on dues.
All candidates applying for the scholarship must submit a written essay, no longer than six hundred words. The essay must be submitted in a Microsoft Word document.
